What is The Tabung?
The Tabung is a multiplayer horror game that is set on an abandoned site. The game starts with you and the other players camping. However, one of your fellow campers went missing. Worse, you cannot contact the police since there is no signal. Taking matters into your hands, you and the other players decided to restart the signal tower. To do so, you must gather materials scattered on the game map.
Besides restoring the signal, you will also complete other tasks, such as finding keys to unlock different places, power the generator, and arming yourself with weapons. However, unlike normal camping, you won't face normal dangers, such as natural elements and wild animals. Instead, you will face a mysterious being called Tabung, which lurks in the dark. Players must avoid confronting this monster as it can devour you in an instant.
The Tabung supports up to 32 players in one session—called a room. With this, you can play with your friends or random players online. There is a voice chat feature available, allowing you to communicate. However, this only works in the lobby and not mid-game. Additionally, creating a room is quite complicated that you sometimes waste a token. Speaking of, players need to watch tons of ads to earn tokens.
Is the game good?
Overall, The Tabung is worth looking into if you are looking for a horror game that you can play with other players. It offers thrilling gameplay filled with tasks of various difficulties. However, that being said, the game could use a few improvements for a better player experience. As it is, it comes with a few glitches. Additionally, the lack of jumpscares makes the game look like a walking simulator.
